The food I chose to make for my food video was a Vegan Hamburger with "Cheese." I believe my project came out quite well despite the lack of edits or voice over. Being generally terrible at technology, I found it significantly easier to avoid doing the edits. The food was also quite good.
Mi Frida es Bill Watterson
In this project, we chose a certain person of ours, researched their life, a painted a painting based on a Frida Kahlo painting. I Choose Bill Watterson and "The Frame" by Frida. I thought this was a quite fun project, especially the painting portion. We had to write a +200 word description of their life, including their hardships and successes. Pictured below is my Artist Statement: Mi Frida se llama Bill Watterson. Nació el cinco de julio, 1958 en Washington DC, Estados Unidos. En mi pintura, Calvin, es un dibujo animado, y es una estatua. Mi pintura es basado en “El Marco,” una pintura de Frida Kahlo.Hay muchas flores alrededor de Calvin, en la pintura. En “El Marco,” hay un retrato de Frida. En mi pintura, hay un retrato de Calvin. Yo pinté Calvin como una estatua porque es mi favorito cómic. Bill Watterson vivÍa en Chagrin Falls, Ohio por su niNez y la estad adulta. El ha trasladado a Cleveland, Ohio. Questions: 1. Why do you think Frida Kahlo painted so many autobiographical paintings of herself? She couldn't move well and was bed bound a significant part of her life. She painted what she saw, which was herself. 2. How do you feel that your image came out? Quite well, It looks quite similar to the Frida painting, and it succeeded in showing Calvin. 3. Did you end up with the image you thought you were going to? Sure did, I planned to paint what I painted from the start. 4. What do you think of Frida and her art now that you know more about her? I think she is a very persistent person who withstood hardship.
